This is the first book in the
Shifting Impulse series. They do each
stand alone, but I recommend reading them in the order of release.
I love Anna. Though we don’t receive a lot of her back
story, it’s not hard to deduce that she has been hurt in past relationships
because she’s not a size 2 (or 4, or 6…).
I can relate with her self-esteem issues that this has caused. She’s running scared, because being alone is
sometimes easier than opening yourself up to the possibility of heartache.
Adam comes off as a little bit
stalkerish in parts, but when a bear has identified his mate, there is no
stopping him. He is more than his
alpha-type bear, he’s also sweet, calm, and determined to convince Anna to give
him a chance.
Some of the banter between Adam and
Anna was laugh-out-loud funny and real. This
is Aurora Woodlove’s first release and I feel extremely privileged to have been
able to read it. I am looking forward to
more from this series and this author!
