This is the third book in the Sassy
Mates series. They do need to be read in
order.
The first time Nicole met Jake, she
was visiting her friend Ellie. She
opened the wrong door and there he stood, naked and wet from the shower. Nic lusts for Jake. Jake knows that she is his mate, but Nic
doesn’t understand how to love and Jake refuses commitment. Ah, but the social lubricant known as alcohol
in the City of Sin leads these two down to the altar. When you get out of the way of your brain and
let the heart lead, wonderful things can happen. Of course, some not so wonderful things can
also happen and they will need to be handled.
Starting at the scenting ceremony
once again, we are introduced to more of the personalities of Nicole and
Jake. Their passion is smoking hot. Finding out about Nic’s family and the type
of people they are, certainly does help to put her personality into
perspective. I’m just glad that they
hadn’t destroyed the fierce warrior that she is. She stands up for herself and I was cheering
every step of the way.
In each of the previous books, I mentioned
a theme. So, I will try with this
one. In fact, I think there are two: ‘be true to yourself’ and ‘allow yourself to
be happy.’
Milly Taiden never fails to deliver
sassy, BBW girls and hot, alpha, protective men. I love this series. First there was Aric and Jordon. Then Nathan claimed Karla. Now Jake has finally gotten his Nicole down
the aisle. Ellie has four brothers. Three have found and claimed their mates in
spectacularly different ways. I can’t
wait to see how Mason corrals his chosen sassy girl!
