Description from the publisher:
I arch into him, drinking in his
passion, instantly, willingly consumed by all that he is and could be to me. .
.
Sara McMillan is still searching for Rebecca, the mysterious woman whose dark, erotic journal entries both enthralled and frightened her. Tormented by a strong desire to indulge the demands of her new boss while also drawn deeper into her passionate bond with the troubled artist, Chris Merit, Sara must face a past as deeply haunting as Rebecca’s written words. In one man’s arms, Sara will find the safe haven to reveal her most intimate secrets and explore her darkest fantasies. But is safety just an illusion, when the truth about Rebecca has yet to be discovered?

Spoiler Alert: If you
have not read IF I WERE YOU – stop now – go back – read the first book before
reading this review.
I haven’t received the journals
(books 2, 3, 4, 5), but decided to move on in the series. BEING ME picks up exactly where IF I WERE YOU
left off. Sara is in the storage unit,
the lights go out, and she knows she is not alone……
Together Sara and Chris continue the
search into the past, looking for answers regarding the disappearance of
Rebecca. They are also working together
on the charity event that is Chris’ passion and Sara explores her role at the
gallery.
Meanwhile, their own skeletons and
ghosts, the ones they have not shared with one another, torment them both,
threatening to crush their fledgling relationship before it can take flight.
This was a perfect second book. There was a constant build of angst and
turmoil, small questions laid to rest and larger ones brought forth with a
promise for resolution.
In the end, the only question is and
has always been, will Chris and Sara provide each other with their “all or
nothing.”
This continues to be a
grip-your-seat page-turner. At the end
of every chapter, I was afraid to turn the page, afraid that I would discover
that was the cliff-hanger, and that the story was to be continued in the next
book. Thank God, I already have the
remaining two books in this series and do not have to wait months.
Grammar/editing: A – near perfect
