Esmerelda has returned to Graphomancy, determined to make a stand. Lilith, a witch, and Jen, her apprentice, are convinced that there is a real culprit out there. But like law enforcement, Esmerelda’s attacker seems to know their every move before they make it. Darren Byrne, private eye, has taken on the case as well. He’s determined that the abductions are related to a secret society who attack during major celestial events. With an alignment of all the visible planets nigh, Esmerelda is nearly out of time. What is happening to Esme is frightening and intense, but brings the three ladies of Graphomancy together to build an unstoppable team along with some charming and interesting neighbors.
This is an absolutely enjoyable and entertaining paranormal cozy mystery and I am looking forward to continuing the series. There is a fun cast of characters with Lil – the owner of Graphomancy, a tattoo parlor, Jen – her apprentice, and Esme – the piercer. Let’s not forget the unnamed, hairless, talking cat with the snarky attitude. Anyone who is owned by a pet, knows that this is exactly how they think.
