Description from the publisher:
Ever since Domitian Argenis
recognized Sarita as his life mate, he’s been waiting for the perfect moment to
claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table
in a secret lab or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow,
they have to escape…
Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection—none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. Failure is not an option, for Sarita intends that Domitian show her exactly what an eternity of pleasure feels like…

IMMORTAL UNCHAINED is the 25th
book in the Argeneau series. Though each
does stand on its own, I highly recommend reading them all and in the order of
release.
I borrowed this as an audio book
from my local library. I enjoyed
listening to it as I was driving to and from work. It was nine discs and took about 10 days of
commute.
I said I enjoyed listening to this
one, but honestly that was an understatement.
Domitian is probably my favorite character since Lucern (Single White
Vampire, Book #3). On top of the usual
hot-as-the-sun, determine-to-claim-his-one-and-only-lifemate, this vampire
quotes one of my favorite romance movies.
(My boyfriend gets bonus points if he can tell me the name of the movie
when he reads this review. Why don’t you
leave your guess in the comments?) I
also liked the story because of the amount of giggles brought about by Domitian’s
and Sarita’s banter.
In the last few books, the lifemate
was changed with control (drugs, chains, etc.).
Sarita was changed in an emergency situation with nothing available and
the description was beautifully written – a verbal theatre.
You would think after twenty-five
books in a series that there would be a formula and it would be boring, but now
we have an overarching theme in our super villain Dr. Dressler that has me
intrigued and curious to continue.
