Description from the publisher:
Curvy, sassy, full of life, and
passionate about her job as a bartender… That was Sierra Jones before she lost
everything. She had no idea shifters even existed until she became one and it
all went downhill. Her wolf took over, leading her on a dark, dangerous path
for almost five years. Now, Sierra’s only chance is to return home to the man
she promised her brother she didn’t have feelings for. As if that wasn’t hard
enough, she needs to ask for his help, too.
Hot, confident, and the owner of Shifting Impulse, Matt Reed is an Alpha bear shifter who never needed anyone. He was determined to prove he could make it on his own, but then he moved to North Bloom Lake and fell in love with Sierra. The curvy blonde taught him about the importance of having friends, but now his loyalty to one of his friends has been keeping him apart from his mate for years. Christmas is almost here, and he can’t stop thinking about her.
Will Sierra find Matt in time to spend Christmas together?

CHRISTMAS MATE is the fifth book in
the Shifting Impulse series. Though each
stands on its own, I recommend reading all of them.
In my review for the last book, I
said it was a HFN, not a HEA and felt incomplete. This book is also HFN, but it does not feel
incomplete. As the author said in her
note at the end of the book, it’s necessary because healing takes time. I am truly looking forward to future updates
on Sierra’s progress as I’m sure she will be included as this series continues.
Now, about the CHRISTMAS MATE
story: This book has “all the feels” as
the kids say - hope, fear, determination, lust, love, friendship, and more. I wanted to hug Sierra, even when she was an
angry wolf, and let her know that it would all be okay. She has been through five years of hell and
when the spit hits the fire she knows who is the only one who can help. More importantly – she’s right! Matt is all kinds of yummy protectiveness and
loyalty.
Aurora Woodlove has hit another one
out of the park. Amazing story and I can’t
wait to read what comes next!
