Description from the publisher:
Tiger-shifter
Jonathon Reynell has spent a chunk of his immortal life serving his country. As
an I-Op his life revolves around the next mission, the next natural high. A
soldier sent into the deadliest of combats, he didn’t expect immortality to be
an issue, to live on while everyone he knows and loves dies. When the toll
begins to show and he finds himself at the bottom of another bottle, he decides
to go back to his roots, back to his home to clear his head. Rock bottom is not where he expected to be
when he found his mate with a rose in hand and his name on her lush lips.
Tori
is the very definition of perfection and beauty. She’s also in the crosshairs
of the enemy. And if there is one thing this sniper knows, it’s that his sights
are the only ones that should be set on her.

This is the seventh book in the
Immortal Ops series. Though it is
recommended that they are read in order, it does stand completely on its
own. I’m sure of this, because this is
the first book in the series that I have read and I was not lost in the least.
This was a “where did the time go”
read for me. As in I looked around me to
find that the sun had set and I had missed dinner. Where did the time go? I was completely absorbed in the lives of
Jonathan and Tori.
Tori is fantastic. She is undoubtedly Jonathan’s mate and a
perfect match for him in and out of the bedroom. I loved getting to know her and her
grandmother. The introduction of her
father provides the touch onto the Immortal Outcast series which is strongly
tied to the Immortal Ops series.
Jonathan is a wonderful blend of sexy, confident, and yet
vulnerable. A man broken by the
decisions he has made, he fights the belief that something as good as Tori
could be possible for him, but he also won’t let go once he’s found her. Sigh!!!!
Mandy Roth can do no wrong. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to
it! If she will build it, I will come.
Grammar/editing: A – near perfect
