Damion Ward is a gorgeous CEO of a
multi-casino company. As Kali said, “I …enter to find him in dark-blue jeans, a

lick the paper.” Not only is he
gorgeous to look at, he is sweet as honey on the inside, once you get to know
him. Damion and Kali have both had
difficult realities and relationships. Kali
has learned to be tough while protecting a very tender heart. Her motto is, “I’m bruised, not broken.” And I
intend to prove it was, and is, true.”
I loved this. I think I may
embroider it onto a pillow to look at every day! I love the supporting characters, even the villains. My favorite was Terrance, the head of
security. He is just like most of my
friends. He can keep a confidence, but
that won’t stop him from teasing you about it in private!
Once again Lisa Renee Jones has
provided an erotic and loving couple that provides both passion and compassion. This was a shorter story, a novella, that was
easily read in an afternoon of relaxing.
As always, she has provided a well written story with steam, sweetness,
and a bit of humor. LRJ is one of my favorite authors in contemporary romance
and I look forward to reading more from her.
