Dani doesn’t remember the holidays
ever being a good time of year. How
could she, when her earliest memory involves seeing vampires destroy her
family? Her best friend, Mimi, is trying
her best to force the season onto her via giant lawn Santas and twenty, not so
little, reindeer (cause eight just isn’t enough). Her new neighbor, and her boss, is the very
sexy, vampire, Cornell Sutton. Dani
would much rather be chasing the bad supernaturals of Chicago with Cornell than
singing Fa-La-La-La-La with Mimi, even if he is an uptight stick-in-the-mud…..
at least he’s a gorgeous stick-in-the-mud.
This was a fun holiday twist on
paranormal romance. Vampires, slayers,
and fae, I love them all - Dani, Mimi, Cornell, and Finn. Dani may hate the season, but she appreciates
her friend and understands the love being shared. She also doesn’t lie to herself or her
friends, no matter what the question.
How refreshing is that! Finn may
appear up-tight, but when he decides to claim his mate, nothing gets in the way
of him vampiring-up! Sigh!! He’s sexy, sweet, and completely alpha yummy.
I am so glad I got to read this
story from the anthology and I am looking forward to reading the rest of them
and more from Mandy M. Roth.
