Description from the publisher:
Looking back one last time at the home that used to hold everything she loved, Hannah Blaine turned back towards the road. Her lucky cowboy boots made impressions in the dirt path with each step. After 15 years with the only man she ever loved, it was time to go back home to Louisville. She hoped heading back to where her life began would help ease the pain from that horrific day. Hannah's heart was, and always would be, with her husband.

Hollis Ackers could care less about women. Hell, he didn't care about anyone. When his mother, the only woman he ever loved, died, he became numb inside. Motorcycles became his life, and the Louisville biker group was the perfect stand-in family.

When miss country-girl-in-her-cute-ass-cowboy-boots spills coffee on him it shouldn't mean a thing. Or will it?

When two people who lost the will to love meet, what will happen? Can new love really heal all the pain?

HANNAH’S STORY is a stand-alone romance.

This is Hannah’s do-over.  After the death of her husband, she returns to her hometown.  I didn’t understand why she did this, since she wasn’t returning to anyone.  The only person in town that she knew was an aunt that she hadn’t talked to in years.  She walked away from a home (and a mortgage) to live in a rented room.  She walked away from multiple vehicles to rely on mass transit, hitch-hiking, and walking.  She didn’t sell off her old life and start over.  She just walked away.  That is a definition of insanity that was not addressed at all!

Hollis has joined an MC on a temporary basis, but is keeping secrets from his erstwhile family?

While I love the romantic inclination of the two of them coming together – after all, I love all things ‘love’ - the setup is too unbelievable to follow.  I “get” what the author was trying to “say,” but it just didn’t ring true enough for me.

Note:  while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
