Description from the publisher:
When Ever Jackson came to Arcadia to find her missing sister, she certainly didn’t expect the close-minded response by residents of the small town. Nobody, it seemed, wanted to speak with or help her in any way, but she was determined to figure out her sister’s whereabouts. Too bad the pesky sheriff decided to stick his nose where it didn’t belong but, lawman or not, Ever wasn’t giving up and leaving Arcadia without a fight.

Sheriff Aidan Tucker preferred it when the human world stayed out of his Shifter town. He has a low opinion of humans to begin with, and having one poking around does nothing to endear himself to them. That is, until he gets a whiff of her, and realizes with a shock that the little spitfire who won’t back down from a fight is human, and his mate.

Well, hell.

The human could get herself killed, so Aidan decides to help her, whether she wants it or not. But there are secrets in his town that go beyond mere shapeshifting, and Ever Jackson may be right in the middle of it all...

This is the first book in the Alpha Werebear serial.  They will need to be read in order.

There are more than bears and wolves shifting in this town.  That cute little bunny wiggling its nose, just may be the neighbor’s kid out for a hop!  Ever Jackson has no idea that shifters exist.  She just knows that her sister is missing and nobody seems to even know she was there.  When the Brahm’s (alpha) son, Sheriff Aiden, investigates the new girl in town, he realizes that the human is his mate!

I absolutely love the story, but hate the abrupt ending.  I don’t hate the ending – it’s excellent – I hate the abruptness.  It’s obvious the author wants her readers to want more.  Olivia Gayle does “apologize” for being evil, but I could hear a distinct “Mua-ha-ha” in that apology!  I’m sure she’ll be getting what she wants from a lot of us.  The good news is that the second part is available:  here.  Yes, I one- clicked one for me.

This is Olivia Gayle’s premier in the world of authoring. I’d say she has a voice that needs to be heard with a wonderfully unique story to be told.

Grammar/editing:  B – a few small errors

The Alpha Werebear series:
  1. Bearly Ever
  2. Bearly Ever 2
