MY LAST CHANCE is a stand-alone
contemporary romance between a bad-boy CEO and a sharp-wit single-mom with a
secret… his secret. This is a second
chance, secret baby romance and I loved it.
This was the first book I have read
(listened to) from Weston Parker; I definitely do not want it to be the last. If you don’t think that men – real men – know
what women want, know what romance is, think again. This book is proof that at least one man does
know and if one does, more do. This
author has blown the cover for them all!
Tons of emotional drama, hot sex,
and a sweet child make this an entertaining story even if some of the elements
are a bit far-fetched (self-made mega-wealthy CEO two years out of college? Okay we’ll let that go and say it’s literary
license). I didn’t especially like some
of the actions of Lana and Sean, but I did like that they both grew in the
end. I liked the side stories and the
humor.
It does need an epilogue (hums “Here
Comes the Bride).
Narration: Gregory Salinas is a
wonderful narrator with a rich beautiful voice that I could listen to for
hours. While Lacy Laurel’s voice is
sweet, she seems to have taken her acting cues from the William Shatner School
of Dialogue. Believe me; that is
frustrating.
