DESPERATE is the first book in the Lipstick & Lead series. This one should definitely be read first in
the series as it sets up an understanding of the characters and their background.
Though not historically perfect, I
enjoyed this story of women taking on the world in a strong fashion. In a time when women had few options, they
are determined and capable. Desperate is
the story of how they came to the decision to try their hand at bounty hunting
and why it would work for them.
It was a fun, quick read. The characters are lovably flawed and
uniquely quirky. I’m looking forward to
seeing where they go from here. I hope
to read more of this series.
