BIG MAGIC is the first book in the Weird
Magic trilogy. They will need to be read
in the order of release.
Fate works in mysterious ways. One evening my boyfriend told me he had a
surprise for me on the TV. There was a
special on about how one of the pairs of shoes worn by Judy Garland during the
filming of The Wizard of Oz had been stolen from her hometown museum thirteen
years ago, but had been recently found.
Then next day, Barbara Plum gifted me with this book. I took that as a sign and moved it to the top
of my TBR pile. I’m glad I did.
I enjoyed the quirky characters and
snappy banter. The storyline is entertaining
with plenty of sexual tension and human/witch tension. There is also a mystery plot involving black
cat familiars that kept me engaged until the very end.
I’m looking forward to continuing
the series. I would recommend it to
anyone who likes witches, romance, and sexy veterinarians.
