Description from the publisher:
When Cricket Hooper moves to Seattle she only has a couple of goals—find a job and an apartment near her friend Chelle, and basically to live a quiet, normal life.  However, it isn't long before life becomes far from normal.

When a mysterious man helps get her car out of the mud after she makes a wrong turn, she finds herself in his thrall.  He wines and dines her, quite literally, and before Cricket can stop it, things are steamy and serious…very serious.

Cricket is thrown aback when Jyme turns out to be more than a simple fisherman, but then she isn't telling all of her story either.

This is the premiere book for this author.

Cricket Hooper is running away from a past and three ex-fiancés.  Her friend, Chelle, invites her to join her in Washington State.  There she meets Jyme, a native American with big dreams and a bigger bank account.  Jyme has swept her off her feet and is trying to make all of her dreams come true.  Unfortunately, they are both keeping secrets about their pasts and their futures that will tear them apart.  What are they willing to sacrifice for Happily Ever After?

I think Ms. Rayne has the bones for a great book, it really needs a lot of work yet.  The first chapter is so rushed that I was left with a headache trying to figure out what had happened.  This is not just fast-paced, there are structural gaps that leave the reader perplexed and bewildered.  Add in the lack of proper editing and it is a frustrating read in what should have been a distinctive contemporary adult romance.  I hope Ms. Rayne takes the time to correct this publication and re-releases it.  I am curious as to the direction she will take Jyme and Cricket and if they may eventually find their HEA.
