This is the first story in the new Colliding Worlds series from Tabitha Conall. It is planned that each will stand on their own with characters from each book appearing and progressing in the subsequent stories.

In this story, we meet Mattie Sloan who has traveled to Scotland with her Alpha, Darius Bishop. While visiting, she finds her mate, Colin MacPherson. Colin, a womanizer, does not plan to settle down, until he scents his mate. In a moment their lives have changed, but neither wants to move from the country they love. Do they choose love or country?

Mattie is unapologetically strong, intelligent, and driven. How can you not love a female character like that?

Ms. Conall has created a truly unique concept for the reality of all of the mystical magical things that we love. When humans dream of werewolves, an alternate Earth is born and inhabited by werewolves (or fairies, or vampires, or… whatever we have dreamed of existing). Occasionally these alternate worlds will collide with Earth-prime, where the humans live. When that happens, the veil between the worlds lifts and the species are introduced. Isn’t that a wonderful explanation!! Ms. Conall, obviously, has a terrific imagination and even better she has the ability to share that imagination in well-written prose.

My only complaint is that the story ended so soon. I anxiously await the next installment in this series.
